The Apple of

Knowledge

Its sits in the tree ripened and ready
Waiting to be plucked form its branch
The morning dew kisses its reddened skin
Mesmerizing the beholder with its shine

You have been fore told of the tasting
The authority that it holds within
But it vividness calls unto you
Tempting you inner virtuousness

Reaching for the forbidden fruit
Pausing the the grasp in mid stream
Wanting and need to take hold of
Finally plucking it from its limb

Holding it a treasure in your palm
Discovering the curves with your fingers
Clutching its firmness in your hands
Its sweet aroma entrancing your senses

Your bring it towards your mouth
Biting into its aromatic succulence
Feeling the juices spread nourishment
Through your body and intelligence

Your eyes have been unwrapped
The innocence of childhood ways gone
Knowledge of good and evil ways
Erstwhile disclosed into your mind

You have bitten into the apple
Understanding of true existence
Has been bestowed upon you
Now you must make the choices before you
