Child of Heaven
An angel came
Within twilight night
Her essence set aglow
Within spirit light
She hovered above
A quiescent child
Nodding her head
She slowly smiled
Her arms enveloped
This infant with love
Warming quintessence
For journey above
Bursting into scene
I cried, “don’t go away”
She nodded her head
In translucent array
Closing her astral eyes
She began to transcend
Tears fell on my cheek
Starting to comprehend
My child must go away
Upon an angelic arm
She will tend passageway
Never feeling any harm
Ache encompasses me
As I lay in mourn
For a child of heaven
Has now been born
